West Mountain and Border States certainly lives up to its Wild West past, with deserts butted against border cities, where you can almost hear the whistle of the wind. This vast region is abundant with opportunities for your group to enjoy the Old West, the lifestyle still giving the tourist experiences that have come to expect. The harshness of a desert of white sand to a shopping district that cost about $ 1 billion, the groups will not lose a minute.
Arizona
SouthBridge is the newest target group in Scottsdale, Ariz., set to open spring 2007. This new center offers retail, restaurants, entertainment and residential components inspired by some of the worlds most popular urban destinations. Seven new urban restaurants feature delicious cuisine. In addition, a collection of locally owned shops and eclectic fashion are sure to be filled with the latest fashions and furniture. All will focus on European-style courtyards and a Plaza del Barrio. The weekly market for organic farmers, fashion, film festivals and outdoor patios in the outdoors, groups give a lot of entertainment options. If you go to the Grand Canyon this fall, here's something you enjoy: The Grand Canyon is the introduction of trains sunset tour limited to complement its other offerings. The new route will come in the late afternoon and head into the barrel of a relaxing evening stroll. Guests can enjoy dancing in a car outside an d works and full service bar and catering regional wines. The company offers group rate discounts and comp tickets. The Sunset Limited tour is the first step in a series of changes to the Grand Canyon Railway, including the new hotel of 900 rooms (200 in 2008), eight new restaurants and a full-service spa.
Colorado
Among the many exhibits at Denvers Only Colorado History Museum is troops on skis. The exhibit has been modified and improved, highlighting the training and preparation of the 10th Mountain Division of the action in the Second World War. Using artifacts from the collection of Colorado Historical societies, along with photographs, letters, diaries and maps of the Denver Public Library, the exhibition examines the experiences of men at Camp Hale in Colorado and the front in the northern mountains Italy. There is no hurry to see this exhibition, however. Will be on display from August 2008.
Kansas
In late 2006, the center of Kansas City will be placed on the map again. Kansas Citys downtown convention district is in the midst of a $ 4 billion transformation, part of which is an exciting new $ 835-million Power & Light District. The district covers an area of nine squareblock and looks to be a solid addition to group travel itineraries. Charming boutiques, art galleries, bookstores, live entertainment and a mix of restaurants is sure to have something for everyone in the group. This huge project will improve the already numerous shopping options in the plaza in Kansas City Twelfth and Vine.
New Mexico
If your group wants to travel during the busy Christmas season, which could enjoy nature Puesta del Paseo Paseo sun in the White Sands National Monument, 45 miles east of Las Cruces. Here, the gently rolling sand dunes of gypsum cover 275 square miles of desert, the largest camp of its kind in the world. Groups can take an hour's walk along the white sands rangerguided only selfguided or take a tour with the help of free brochures from the on-site museum. They explain everything from the areas of wildlife to the history of the dunes, and the biological explanation for its picturesque colorfulness.
Oklahoma
The event calendar of the 2007 National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum shows that its extensive collection of art objects and research materials to understand and appreciate the history of the American west, but is stalled. Temporary exhibitions begin next year with paints Fe: The Retablo Tradition in Mexico and New Mexico, February 3 to April 29. Prize of the West Invitational Art Exhibition returns June 8 through September 9, and beginning October 13, the museum holds Samuel Colt: Arms, Art and Invention, organized by the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art , Hartford, Connecticut.
